Valeria Gambino

I am a ballet and contemporary trained dancer, comfortable with dancing on point shoes, partnering, and improvisation based work. I studied mainly in my own town, Villabate, in the ballet school Progetto Danza. At the age of 16 I also got the chance to train professionally for 6 months at the BTB in Basel, under a scholarship. In my educational years I took part to many competitions, stages and masterclasses, which helped me to improve even more technically and expressively. What shaped me the most as an artist was my 7 years of professional experience as a member of the ensemble of the Ballett Chemnitz, in Germany. There is where I had the opportunity to dance a lot of different group and solo roles, and get as much stage experience as possible. Now I am based in Dresden as a freelance, and I am actively looking for new jobs opportunities.
